SurfBreak at Paunch offers four private accommodations for guests age 16+ in Paunch on Isla Colón, Bocas del Toro, Panama: the Tree Cabin, Bungalow Left, Bungalow Right, and Garden Apartment. Three of the four—Bungalow Left, Bungalow Right, and Garden Apartment—include full private kitchens. The Tree Cabin has a mini-fridge and coffee maker, but no cooking facilities. Each stay is just up the hill from the Caribbean Sea and Paunch surf break, with its own private, tropical character.
Two minutes from Paunch
Close enough to see — and hear — the surf.
SurfBreak sits about a two-minute walk uphill from Paunch surf break. From Bungalow Left you can see the surf and watch surfers in the lineup. From the Tree Cabin you can see the ocean and the waves through the trees, although foliage blocks the direct view of the surfers.
From all four accommodations, you can hear Paunch when the surf is running. On bigger days the heavier sets are unmistakable from the property — the sound itself is often the first clue that the break has picked up.
For surfers, that means you can get a real sense of what the ocean is doing before walking down — while still staying in a private jungle property rather than a surf camp.
